We are currently looking for teachers to support the expansion of the school during its third year of opening, when numbers are expected to reach 155 pupils.
We are seeking to appoint dynamic and innovative teachers (applications are welcome from all phases, Early Years, Primary and Secondary, as well as specialisms) who see the exciting opportunities of being members of staff within a new special school. All posts are permanent posts. Candidates must have an understanding of the developmental learning needs of children and experience of working with pupils with a wide range of learning styles. Family Support Worker
37 hours per week, full year working (26 days holiday to be taken during school holidays plus 8 statutory Bank Holidays)
Scale:I £24,964 to £28,485
We are looking to recruit a qualified Family Support Worker whose main job will be to support our children and their families and reduce barriers to learning. The successful applicant will work alongside teaching staff and existing pastoral systems to provide an extra layer of support, focusing on the welfare of children and their families, being a point of contact for parents in order to discuss any concerns in a less formal way, helping parents to engage in school life and support them to access local services and agencies. The position will involve building close working relationships with local agencies and other professionals.
Key tasks will include completing the Common Assessment Forms (e-CAF) with families, working within Family Action procedures, attending meetings as required, and being a Designated Safeguarding Lead in the school. The position will require the establishment of good working relationships with pupils and providing them with consistent support, as well as assisting with the implementation of individual Education and Behaviour plans.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, be appropriately qualified and be a car driver with a clean licence and business insurance in order to be able to carry out home visits and attend meetings.

Teaching Assistant SEN level 2
We are recruiting for September 2018.
32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (Term Time plus Inset Days)
Scale E £16,491 to £17,072 per annum pro rata (actual salary: £12,389 to £12,825 per annum)
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for outstanding Teaching Assistants SEN to join the team at Daventry Hill School, a new co-educational all-through (4-18) school for pupils with special educational needs in Daventry. The school opened in September 2016 to a limited number of pupils in all age groups; the School is, however, expected to grow each year until full in 2019 with a total of 175 pupils. The School moved into its new purpose built premises in January 2017.
Duties will include:
- Supervising and supporting pupils in the learning environment, including more in-depth support for those with specific needs, to promote independence, inclusion, acceptance and equality of access to learning opportunities for all pupils.
- Assisting in the planning, development and implementation of pupil education/behaviour plans and personal care programmes including toileting, hygiene and feeding/meal times, to help with development of social skills and to ensure that the schools health, safety and behaviour policies are maintained.
- Deal with conflict using different communication techniques to encourage all pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour and promote independence.
- Provide clerical and other support to meet service delivery requirements.
- Participate in meetings, team development activities and assist less experienced colleagues when appropriate, to support the achievement of individual and team performance and development objectives.
The required hours of work will be 8:40am to 15:40pm Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays and to 16:40 Wednesdays and alternate Tuesdays for training purposes. Whilst previous experience is desirable, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels as well as being a great team player. All candidates will be expected to have GCSE or equivalent, grade C, in English and Maths.
