Summer SENDsation at Northampton College’s Booth Lane
Summer SENDsation The free event for local families (who have a child or young person with special educational needs and disabilities) will return to Northampton College’s Booth Lane campus in 2017.
The event will take place on Sunday 11th June 2017, 12pm to 4pm. Entry tickets will be available on the door. There will be fun activities for children and plenty of helpful information stalls. The event is organised by five organisations, working in partnership, who are passionate about making information, support and leisure activities accessible to families in Northamptonshire who have a child with either a disability or a special educational need especially those who are in mainstream schools.
In 2015, Summer SENDsation welcomed local families for a fun-filled day of sports, activities, music, and relaxation with the chance to learn about the county’s best services for children and young people with SEND. Lots of service providers came along to offer advice and support, and to provide activities for the families; including Mencap, Scope and Papworth Trust.
The partners have come together for a second time and plans are now well underway to make the next Summer SENDsation 2017 bigger and better than ever. Summer SENDsation is a non-profit event, so admittance is free-of-charge for both visitors and exhibitors. Our only condition is that stall holders must provide a fun activity for visitors. This means there will be plenty of games, crafts, sports activities, performances and music activities to get involved with. This is by no means a “collecting leaflets” event. We want families to have a fun, memorable day.
This attached pack includes post cards that can be printed fot anyone that may be interested in coming along to find out about local services
