Vision & Ethos
At Daventry Hill School we aim to inspire and empower all learners to achieve
Respect Tolerance Resilience Community
Our vision for the Daventry Hill School divides into four parts:
- Our mission
- The pupils
- The parents and families
- Daventry and the wider community
To provide a world-class education for all pupils, regardless of their background.
We will create a school for pupils with mild to profound learning difficulties, including those with physical disabilities, where we educate the children and young people so that they are fully ready for the next stage of their adult life, and see no limits to what they might achieve
Parents and families
Pupils’ parents and carers are our most important partners: we will forge outstanding relationships with them, and with the providers of other services that support their children whilst they are at school, outside the school, and when they leave the Daventry Hill School.
Daventry and the wider community
We will create a school of which all who live in its catchment area are proud.
We will use the opportunities of a town centre site, and our freedoms as an Academy, to ensure our pupils make the most of the educational and community facilities that are our immediate neighbours.
We will make a full contribution to the development of Special Education for Northamptonshire’s Children, young people and young adults.
Our ethos is to create a strong ethos and positive climate:
- High expectations
- High quality learning environment
- Relentless focus on behaviour, attendance, relationships
- Strong partnership with parents/carers
- High quality guidance and support
- Celebration of success and rewards to create positive feedback
