Daventry Hill School Expansion - Updated 16/6/2021
The leadership team of Daventry Hill, and the Trust, have been working with the local authority to accept a growing number of students however, Daventry Hill is only funded for a capacity of 175 number of students, however the Local Authority have asked the school to admit an additional 23 students, taking the number up to 198.
To officially increase the capacity of numbers at Daventry Hill School we need to apply to the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), government department, and undertake a period of consultation with stakeholders. This will enable the school to be funded for the additional places.
This year Daventry Hill has 170 students, and for September 2021 the local authority has asked the school to take in an additional number of students, taking the number on roll to 198. This will mean that Daventry Hill will have 23 students above their funding agreement, and forcing the school to stretch its budget beyond capacity.
The trust is applying to the ESFA for a capacity of 200, which the leadership team at Daventry Hill feel is manageable considering the space in specific year groups and the school.
Our consultation process begins Tuesday 25th May 2021 and ends on Tuesday 6th July 2021.
Please read through the attached document and complete the form adding any comments you wish.
