Our Curiosity Approach

We consider the development of curiosity to be one of our core values.

We define curiosity as:

Independent thinking

Development of non-verbal communication

Language and verbal communication

Problem-solving

Risk-taking

Imagination

Creative and critical thinking

Lifelong learning

Our curiosity-based approach is informed by research and theory, recognising that play—combined with rich language opportunities—ignites curiosity.

We embed strategies such as Blanks Level of questioning, commenting, Continuous Provision, and the use of 'ShREC' to support high-quality interactions and language development.

Using Vygotsky’s theories and the Language Development Pyramid, we empower learners to lead their own development at their own pace.
