All students begin and end their school day at the same time, but session timings vary between classes. This allows us to ensure that every student has fair and safe access to outdoor play areas and the lunch hall.
This structure supports a balanced and engaging school day for all age groups.

Staff members greet all students in the morning.
We collect students that are walking into the school from 8:45am and take them to their classrooms. We collect students from personal vehicles and school transport from 8:50am.
Where appropriate students are encouraged to make their own way to their classrooms, adults support students as required.
We have limited space on our school site for vehicles and so ask that families park at one of the local car parks and walk onto site with the child where possible. If this is not possible then please speak to a member of the leadership team who will be able to advise.
The morning register is completed by the class staff between 8:55am and 9:15am.
The day will often begin with a class-based activity that is completed while the whole class is coming into school. The morning learning sessions then begin. These are appropriate to the phase and pathway the student is in. Sessions such as phonics, English and Maths are typically completed throughout the morning.
All students have a 15-minute break during which they are able to go outside for fresh air.
This is an opportunity for students to eat their snack and have a drink.
Students will return to their classrooms after their break to continue with learning.
All students have an hour for lunchtime.
During the lunch hour, students eat their food either as a packed lunch or a school dinner. They are encouraged to eat in the hall, but there are options to eat in the classroom or in the Nurture Provision near the hall if more appropriate.
The other part of the lunch hour focusses on enjoyment and developing students' social skills and health.
During this time, students may go outside with their peers or attend a lunch club of their choosing.
After lunchtime, each class will have an activity which is designed to settle students back into learning.
This could include a meditation, mindfulness or movement session, or a structured daily session such as reading.
The afternoon could include PE, Science, Art, Music, Forest School or Preparation for Adulthood-themed sessions.
At 3:00pm, students will be taken to their families or school transport by members of staff.
The car park is carefully managed by the Senior Leaders, Site Team, and Pastoral Team. Students are called as their adult or transport arrives and the class staff will escort them outside.
If a parent is collecting, this is an opportunity for a brief handover of information.
Class Dojo is used to provide information to parents who are not collecting.
