Consultation on Expanding Daventry Hill School

Daventry Hill School invites you to share your views on an important proposed expansion of our school.
Daventry Hill School has seen a significant increase in demand for places, reflecting a wider trend across West Northamptonshire. All special schools in the area are currently at or above capacity. In response, the Creating Tomorrow Trust are proposing to formally increase the school’s capacity from 200 to 230 pupils from September 2025.
This expansion is essential to ensure that children with significant learning needs can continue to access high-quality, specialist education close to home. It will allow us to maintain our commitment to personalised, purposeful learning in a nurturing environment that supports each pupil’s development and wellbeing.
To support this increase, West Northamptonshire Council has committed to funding a new modular teaching block on the school site. This will replace temporary accommodation currently in use and ensure that all pupils have the space and resources they need. The project also includes the creation of additional outdoor play space and improved parking and drop-off arrangements to support safe and smooth access to the school.
We are now entering a formal consultation period, which runs from 11 June to 2 July 2025.
As part of this process, we invite you to a virtual consultation event on 23 June at 5:00 PM via Microsoft Teams. This will be an opportunity to hear more about the proposals and ask any questions you may have. To attend, please email: comms@daventryhillschool.org.uk.
