Physical Education

Our Physical Education (PE) curriculum offers planned, progressive learning experiences for all students, helping them become more physically competent while also learning valuable skills through movement. Pupils take part in a broad range of activities—including sport and dance—designed to support both “learning to move” and “moving to learn.”

Our intent is to promote physical health, well-being, and personal development within an inclusive, supportive environment where every student can thrive and develop a genuine enthusiasm for physical activity. Through carefully adapted and differentiated lessons, we aim to build motor skills, encourage teamwork and communication, support emotional regulation, and foster independence. Activities are tailored to individual needs, including sensory integration opportunities for those who benefit from calming or engaging sensory experiences.

By nurturing confidence, self-esteem, and essential life skills, our PE curriculum inspires students to adopt healthy habits and embrace physical activity as a positive, lifelong pursuit.
